Scope
This policy applies to the Android release of pokefields published by AT.CodePathi. Before the first public release, it describes the intended Android v1 data handling. A future version that adds accounts, cloud sync, analytics, advertising, payments, or other network services will require this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration to be updated before release.
Information stored on your device
The app stores the information you enter or create locally in its private application storage. This may include:
- discovery, crafting, collection, and checklist progress;
- habitat builds, housemate plans, and saved layouts;
- storage chest names, locations, item records, and notes;
- screenshots or photos you select, plus locally generated thumbnails;
- local recognition results, unresolved scan slots, and app settings.
AT.CodePathi does not receive this local content through the app and does not operate a server that stores it.
Images, import, and recognition
When you choose a screenshot, image, or backup, the app reads only the file you select through Android's document picker. Screenshot recognition runs on the device using data packaged with the app. The selected image and recognition result are not uploaded by the app.
Backup export and sharing
Backup export happens only when you request it. Android's share or document interface lets you choose the destination. Pokopia Fieldnotes does not select the receiving service and does not control how that service handles the file.
Android automatic cloud backup is disabled for the app. A manual export is the only backup created by pokefields.
Exported JSON backups may contain the local records and images listed above. They are not independently encrypted by Pokopia Fieldnotes, so store and share them with the same care as any personal backup.
Collection, sharing, and third-party services
The Android v1 app has no account system, analytics, advertising, telemetry, crash-reporting service, cloud sync, or developer-operated remote database. AT.CodePathi therefore does not collect or share app usage data or your locally stored notebook content through the app.
Optional links may open a website or email application outside pokefields. Those external services apply their own privacy terms. Information you voluntarily include in a support email is received and processed for responding to that request.
Permissions and device access
Android v1 does not require broad photo, media, or all-files access. It uses Android's system picker for files you choose. It does not request location, contacts, microphone, notification, or camera permission.
Retention, deletion, and security
Local records remain on the device until you change them, replace them by importing a backup, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes the app's local data; exported copies remain wherever you saved or shared them.
Android's application sandbox and your device's security controls protect local app storage. No security measure is perfect. Keep your device updated and protect any exported backup using the controls offered by its destination.
Children's privacy
pokefields does not create user profiles or knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. A parent or guardian with a privacy question may contact the address below.
Policy changes
Material changes to data handling will be reflected here and in the in-app policy before the corresponding app update is released. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
